I would like to know more about the recent stem cell reconstructive breast surgery which Suzanne Somers had. She claims she had excellent results on her lumpectomy breast. Does anyone know if they are doing this procedure here in this country yet or where to check?

Jeanee, I'm not sure but I think it has something to do with the almighty $$$. Maybe this procedure would rock the boat.
@A MyBCTeam Member, I would also love to find out more and would be interested in it. From what I remember from watching her video of the procedure it helped make her breast look like before the surgery. I had a rather large lumpectomy on the right side and at first it didn't look bad. I even had a nipple that looked good. I asked my doctor at my first checkup after the lumpectomy if it would stay like that, and he told me "yes", but I kind of knew he was lying to me. After about two months when all the swelling was completely gone, the nipple began to turn in. It still wasn't completely recessed, but after the radiation therapy I had it did recede all the way. So now it looks pretty bad and about half the size of my other side. I definitely would be a candidate for the stem cell surgery. I just have not heard anything more about the results (long term I guess I mean) since Suzanne Sommers had it.
@A MyBCTeam Member, thanks for the feedback. What I really wanted to know is was her stem cell surgery a success, and has it remained successful this far out. Sometimes one thinks things are great right after the surgery, but as time progresses things regress unfortunately. I just haven't heard anything current regarding her latest surgery.
She talks about it in her book and also on Home Network Shopping. They used tissue they grew in her stomach for a period of time. She had hers done out of the country. I don't know if they do it in the USA. I have listened to her a lot as she even has a talk show and it is to inform you about your body. She has become very knowledgeable about this.
