Hi Janet, a lot of doctors will not say "cured", but will say "in remission" or NED, No Evidence of Disease. So, if your doctor does not use the term "cured", please don't let that throw you! Hugs!
With most cancers, including breast cancer, you are never truly cured. The best we can hope for is to be in remission or NED, as mentioned above by Virginia.
