Howdy,I am trying to understand the healing from reconstruction to having implants removed. It is a mental and emotional question.

Breast cancer diagnosis 2018 a month after my brother's unexpected death. Double Mastectomy and reconstruction in 2019. Now I am getting my implants removed next week due to complications 2 months after my second brother's unexpected death. Crazy times. Sorry for sidetracking. I wondering how you guys have dealt with removal of implants.

Sorry about your brothers, that is a tough one for sure.

Regarding implant removal, I've had implants removed a couple of times due to healing issues from doctor/nurse/PA error. When I've had the implants removed the healing process was quick and I didn't experience any complications when the newly flat side of my chest was healing. Compared with the pain of prior surgeries, like mastectomy and implant installation, the pain from removal was minimal. Good luck with your removal surgery ❤️

I am sorry for the unexpected loss of two brothers, I lost one suddenly to depression, I cannot imagine losing two, and not having them there to provide support. Brothers have a way of kicking out backends into gear!
