Can collagen powder be taken while on letrozole? This is a really important question to raise with your oncologist before starting any supplement.

Research published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology found that breast cancer patients taking various supplements during treatment had worse outcomes. This raises real concern about combining supplements like collagen powder with medications such as letrozole. A breast cancer specialist has noted being "very skeptical" about collagen supplements, even those taken to support skin, hair, and nails. The advice given is to focus on getting nutrients from whole foods rather than powders, where the exact ingredients aren't always clear.

The safest approach is to:

- Talk to your oncologist before taking any supplement alongside letrozole
- Focus on a balanced diet with whole foods, fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins
- Ask for a referral to a registered dietitian nutritionist for personalized guidance

It's always better to check first โ€” your treatment plan is too important to risk any unwanted interactions! ๐Ÿ’›
