I am about a month and a half out. The radiated breast is a couple shades darker. My breast and armpit both peeled quite a bit And so they feel much different texture wise. I think it’s slightly shrunk but not enough to be sure. My cancer side was slightly smaller after surgery anyway. I’m early in but I’m really hoping the shrinkage is minimal. I am hoping all good for your skin and shape as well.

I only had one small spot that turned dark but it didn’t hurt. It scabbed up and fell off looks just fine now.

NaR, I had the Fast- Forward One Week radiation. My radiated area was multiple shades darker than the rest of my body. My armpit was very sensitive to touch and is still sensitive at times. My surgery scars got redder and raised. My breast shrunk 2 cup sizes. I'm 4 months post radiation. Currently the darkened areas have lightened some from the cream and massage. However you can still distinguish the radiated area as it is still darker than everywhere else. I have scar tissue that hurts in the radiated breast, and my scars are much more prominent than they were prior to radiation. Everyone's experience with radiation differs. All the best to you.

I had RT 2 years ago in the summer- mostly the area was very warm to touch & looked like a sunburn. Back to normal skin at this point but my lumpectomy scars did stay a little darker but not really noticeable.
What helped me the most was moisturizer as directed by the RT nurses & to cool down the area I used chilled aloe Vera gel & also cold cabbage leaves in my bra (at the suggestion of doctor).
The cabbage took the sting away almost immediately- just throw it out once it gets warm :)
