Ask your doctor about Duavee. Early study results show that this medication prevents DCIS from becoming invasive. My friend was a participant in this study.

Good morning, I was diagnosed with DCIS Stage 0 grade 3 non invasive in 2022. I had lumpectomy in 2023. Due to oncotype test score I only had 4 weeks of radiation instead of eight weeks of radiation treatments. I had very good radiologist. I hearing more about this nanotechnology for a while now. I plan to find out more about it. Thank you so much Sue10 for posting this article. Awesome and I appreciate you with love 💕. 🙏✝️🌹

I was diagnosed December of 2023, surgery February 2024 with ductal carcinoma in situ 0 stage the first portion was a lumpectomy with radiation. I have lupus and they didn’t want to chance the radiation interfering with the lupus and I opted to have a mastectomy with reconstruction using my own tissue. I would say it depends on your individual situation.

It's very promising for women years from now. When I had my 1st diagnosis of DCIS Grade 2, 25 years ago at the age of 41, the standard protocol was lupectomy AND radiation. I questioned the necessity for Radiation to everyone involved as I believed it was Ovettreatment, which it was ! but unfortunately I did have it. I was really pushed into getting it at my young age. Today it with a great Radiation Oncologist, it is usually not advised. So they have improved in 24 years, or at least some very smart Radiation Oncologist have.

Taking Letrozole daily over last 8 months. At 6 months mammogram done no change . Risk vs reward. Next mammogram in July. My age of 73 and co-morbidity open heart, pulmonary hypertension, CKD stable at 3a-3b had a heart attack July last year off blood thinners to have breast biospy performed. Glad 2025 in my rear view mirror!!!
