Are you wondering if taking niacin 50 mg daily can help with leg pain while on letrozole?

While joint and leg pain is a common side effect of letrozole—affecting about one in three people—there isn't specific information available about using niacin to manage this symptom. Before adding any supplement like niacin to your routine, it's really important to talk with your healthcare provider first.

Research has shown that some supplements can actually interfere with breast cancer medications and may lead to worse outcomes. Your doctor can help determine if niacin is safe for you specifically and won't interact with your letrozole or other treatments.

Many MyBCTeam members have found that their leg and hip pain improved over time. One member shared: "For the first six months, I had some pretty significant leg and hip pain, especially if I sat too long. After six months, the pain started getting better, and now I hardly have any pain!"

Regular exercise and stretching have also helped some people manage joint discomfort while taking letrozole. Your healthcare team can suggest safe pain management strategies tailored to your situation.
