The weepy eyes are from the loss of your eyelashes so dust, debris, etc. gets in your eyes all the time once your eyelashes are all gone. The problem went away for me about 3 months after chemo when my eyelashes had grown out to about 1 mm in length.

My oncologist and rheumatologist both recommended plain saline nasal spray. The drugs dry out mucus membranes and your body's response is to produce liquid for moisture. I use less now but still use it because it's winter. I had weepy eyes too and regular visine worked for them. Hope they help.

I didn’t do anything. It’s the effect of treatment and loss of hairs in the nose. I doubt anything will really fix it. It lasted another year after treatments. It’s not the worst side effect. Just have tissues with you. I don’t think people pay attention to things like that so it’s mostly for you.

Ugh! The only problem I had was that the runny nose progressed to nose bleeds because the further along I went with chemo, the more of a hit my platelets (responsible for blood's ability to clot) took. I used a humidifier at night, and the saline nasal spray during the day. I gave up on tissues, they just weren't up to the amount or speed of the nose bleeds, and instead went to using Vanity dinner napkins! They were thicker, strong, absorbant- but still soft. And Vaseline applied with a Q-tip on/around the spot of the nose bleed to keep the area moist enough to heal. No fun! But it did start healing and clearing up after chemo was done.
