Increased urinary frequency are side effects of Letrozole and Exemestane. I've had some urinary incontinence ever since 1st time I had chemo. The chemo left me with a dry cough and when I have long/heavy coughing fits I have leakage. The cough has gotten even worse since I had chemo for the 2nd time last year and worse again after radiation to my chest and neck. The radiation gave me emphasema in my right lung and burned/damaged by throat and vocal cords which make me cough more. I wear panty liners on a daily basis. Also when I feel like I need to go I can't wait very long, I need to make a beeline for the toilet 🐝

I had pelvic floor surgery to repair cystocell and rectocell with scaffolding mesh which required raising my uterus and bladder as well. It worked very well for me until I had breast cancer and went on Aromatase Inhibitors. Also prior to taking the cream, I had a lot of UTIs. Took Detrol, etc but I went to another UroGyn Dr and she put me back on estradiol cream for insertion into vagina. It def helps me but I have to have a higher dose than what is preferred but otherwise, pads are not thick enough to walk 20 ft to bathroom. FDA took off the Black Box Warning for cancer patients as it was found that most women can tolerate the treatment without stimulating any hormones that could cause a breast cancer reoccurrance. Oh, I am a 76 yr old female. Hope this helps. Also, I had to have extensive back surgery to move so I was concerned with my bone strength as it took a major dive down in my Dexa Scan and to hold all the screws in my back. I dont have cages but have rods and screws of titanium. I always follow my doctors recommendations. There is a lot to consider.

This was a problem while I was on Letrozole, more so now that I'm on Anastrozole. I feel like I should own stock in the pad companies by now.

I do not want the meds nor do I choose to have the surgery. I do the exercises they told me to do and I stopped making myself go to the restroom before leaving the house to go somewhere because the doctor said that just made it worse because I was training myself to go more often. Hope that helps.
