Yes, Aveeno products are wonderful... And very affordable.
I use the cerave moisturizing on my irradiated breast and clavicle area... but I use an Aveeno lotion everywhere else.

I alternated these three lotions;
🧴CeraVe intensive moisturizing
🧴Avene Cicalfate+
🧴BeeCure radiation & laser cream

The last two on my list are pretty pricey though! I only use the CeraVe now, since I used up both of the other ones (I'm a little over 2 months post radiation now). I moisturize once in the morning and once before bed. During active of radiation, I moisturized in the middle of the day as well. As others have already said, make sure that you don't have any moisturizer on prior to your treatment.
I didn't read all the comments, I'm sure someone already mentioned this, but if you experience very adverse skin reactions, your radiation oncologist can prescribe you a very good cream to put on.

I personally think that the Avene Cicalfate+ is a good lotion to get and use if you can afford it, I got some in my Hope Kit as a sample, and a purchased a tube to use after the sample was gone, because I liked it so much, even though it is expensive.

BeeCure was nice but I'm just not convinced it's worth the expensive price, I did not repurchase that one. The little tube went pretty fast too!

My doctor gave me different samples, but I didn't like any of them. They were all vaseline based and hard to apply because of the consistency. They also hurt since they were hard to rub in. I used Aveeno lotion for super dry skin and it worked well for me.

@A MyBCTeam Member that is a question that varies.

My Radiation Oncologist said use what ever lotion or cream I wanted. I use a coconut lotion and cream from "The Dollar" store which worked great. It was very inexpensive at $1.00 each.

Others are buying very expensive lotions and creams.
The KEY is to use the cream or lotion daily and multiple times a day.

However, DO NOT use within 3-4 hours BEFORE your radiation treatment.
You should start using the lotion/cream prior to the radiation and KEEP using the lotion/cream daily for a year AFTER your radiation is DONE as your skin will continue to change.
