Yes, it did take mine more than a few weeks! Hang in there, mine did grow back, but not as thick, same with my eyebrows and eyelashes. I tried different serums for those, and biotin supplements, but finally after a year and seeing no difference- just let it go! Eyeliner helps disguise a bit, and I can fill in the eyebrows. All in all, a trade off I can accept! Hugs!

Hair typically begins growing back within a few weeks after completing chemotherapy treatment. However, the timeline and pattern of regrowth can vary significantly from person to person. Some people may experience "chemo curls" where straight hair comes back curly at first, though this often normalizes over time.

The key factors that can affect hair regrowth include:
• Getting adequate nutrition, especially protein
• Overall health status
• Individual response to treatment To support healthy hair regrowth during treatment:
• Consider using scalp cooling devices (cold caps) to reduce hair loss
• Wash hair with cold water to help slow down loss
• Ensure you're getting enough protein (5-6 servings daily for women, 6-7 for men)
• Consult with a registered dietitian if you're having trouble maintaining proper nutrition

Remember that the emotional impact of hair changes is completely normal. Many find that wearing hats or other head coverings helps them feel more confident during this process.
