I think just stopping the med will improve the results. This is awful being treated for cancer and then having to deal with this other stuff, its scary because these drugs could very well cause permanent damage. I hope your levels reach normal. 🥰

It's important to follow your doctor's instructions about stopping medications when lab results show concerning changes. Your doctor made the right call to temporarily pause ribociclib to allow your body time to recover. During your upcoming appointment, your doctor will review your new lab results and determine if it's safe to restart treatment or if adjustments need to be made to your treatment plan.
If your current treatment isn't working well or is causing difficult side effects, your healthcare team can explore different treatment options. Remember that new cancer treatments are constantly being developed, and what works for one person may not work for another. When you meet with your doctor, consider asking these important questions:
- How can these side effects be prevented or treated?
- What should I do if I experience similar side effects in the future?
- Will I need to switch to a different treatment?
- How will you know if the new treatment plan is working?
- What lifestyle changes might help support my liver and kidney health during treatment?
Always be open with your healthcare team about any challenges you're experiencing with your medications. They can help you get back on track or find a treatment plan that better suits your needs.
