It's been 10 days since my first treatment. I have been breaking out with pimples on my face, chest, neck and worse spot the back of my neck/in my hairline. Most are small, but some are larger. Google said this could be a chemo rash. Is there anything I can do for this? Anything to use to make it go away?
I get my second infusion in a week. I get to see the NP before I do the infusion and will mention to her. Hopefully they can give me something to clear it up. Thank you! 🩷
I got a face rash which was referred to as “chemo acne” and the hydrocortisone didn’t help the breakouts so my doctor prescribed an antibiotic which cleared it up and prevent it from recurring.
Some do get a rash from chemo. Over the counter hydrocortisone cream can be helpful, but I would check with your team.
Thank you Virginia will definitely give them a call tomorrow since more pimple like rashes in hairline are appearing. And that's smart Leesa will monitor my symptoms better. 🩷
I'm sorry you are dealing with the rash. Make sure you let your team know, they may want to adjust the meds on their end, or suggest Benedryl or something to take for a few days after treatment to offset the reaction. I hope tomorrow is easier! Gentle hugs!
