There is no way that UTI’s are not related to breast cancer treatments!! I find it extremely annoying that an AI generated response should be on this discussion! I have struggled with terrible urinary problems on and off for years during my 16 year survival. I am delighted to hear that a new antibiotic has been introduced for this problem. I have also been introduced to a supplement that appears to be helping me through this round of chemotherapy. It is called D- MANNOSE. Investigate this please. After 3 months of chemotherapy, no UTI.

The AI is “stupid” in that it only worked with the information that I posted. I did not say that UTI’s are caused by tamoxifen or aromatase inhibitors.

So the AI went off on its own tangent.
It did not even look that up which can be found by googling that question.

This is not the first time that the AI has been inaccurate; and I have had to correct it.

Also note that some have had difficulty clearing up the UTI with the old meds and some UTI meds no longer work for some. So, this new medication is a big improvement.

A lot of us seem to get UTI’s and we all have breast cancer. I’m not sure why they say it’s not related to breast cancer. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I experienced horrible UTI symptoms for 3 weeks of the 5 weeks I was on Letrozole. I did not even think it was related to the drug until after I stopped it. I stopped it due to weight gain and joint pain. When I talked to my oncologist about it, she told me the urinary tract issues were also a side effect of Letrozole. I believe it. I’ve been fine since stopping the medicine. What a nightmare!

I have read,long ago that aromatasas sideeffect is bladder infection, personally I have had my fantastic oncologist give me Urizone 3g sachets,problem solve
