After radiation treatment
I don't remember what dose I took back in 2012 but I had some pretty significant side effects on Tamoxifen. Just be aware that sometimes it can cause mood issues too so please be careful.
Tamoxifen at a lower dose, such as 5 mg, may still cause side effects, though they are generally less severe than the standard 20 mg dose. Common side effects include hot flashes, vaginal dryness, pain during intercourse, and muscle pain. Serious side effects like blood clots and endometrial cancer are rare but possible Show Full Answer
Yes I’m on 10mg (20mg is what they originally told me) of tamoxifen and after 3+ years it’s finally getting a little better. Still some pain in my legs and feet, and some issues with sleep, so I will finish out my last 2 years on it. I read a few articles about lower dose tamoxifen and agree it’s still effective. Not everyone has the same side effects, give it a try. I had a cat scan last week and 🤞 I’m still ok!
