When 'they' say its better not to consume alcohol while taking these drugs they are really talking about not doing it everyday. I don't think having a drink is going to make side effects worse or destroy your liver. Its different if someone has 2 or more drinks everyday or even a few times a week. If I drank I think I would treat myself to a glass of red wine once a week without fear or guilt.
In moderation. I would not be having a glass of wine everyday but socially is fine.
I am not a drinker at all but if I think one drink on any medication can't be that harmful. I mean one drink, what harm could it do ? ❤️ Some will say no alcohol at all but this is just my opinion.
Lots of meds react strongly to alcohol. The medicine that I take for my acid reflux doubles the effect of alcohol on me. I don't drink regularly but will have a glass of wine 2-3 times a year on special occasions. But 1 glass is all that I can handle. Two and I'm tipsy. To be honest, alcohol isn't that important to me that I couldn't give it up for health reasons.
I tested with a small amount of white wine….within 30 minutes it was as if I’d had several glasses of the stuff. Had I not been at home driving safely would have been iffy….
