Unfortunately they couldn’t save my nipple because I had Paget’s disease as well as IDC & there’s no hiding the incision. But scars fade and I plan to get a 3D nipple tattoo . The part that I find upsetting though is that my “skin sparring” mastectomy didn’t spare even 50% of my breast skin which made expander placement difficult for my plastic surgeon 😳😮

My incision line was tucked below the breast (hidden by breast implant). It is 5 inches long on the breast that had: the tumor /2nd surgery for positive margin/3rd surgery for hematoma and 4 inches long on the unaffected breast. Neither are visible when standing up. My nipples were also spared in the surgery.

I had lumpectomy, no visible scars in the area. I had a few limp nodes removed and have a scar, but nothing to worry about.
