We have had a family emergency and I need to travel back to my parents. I have a tissue expander in. Has anyone tried to travel with a tissue expander. I read one place that the metal port witll set off the TSA alarm so you need a doctors note to travel. Someplace else it said it is okay to travel if you have your tissue expander id card with date of surgery, name of implant and your name.

I recently traveled and did not have any issues nor did I have a Dr note. It did not set off any TSA alarms.

UPDATE: Thanks. I just called surgeons office and they told me that I did not need a doctors note. Also checked with TSA.
