Has Any Of You Ladies Tried Alternative Medice Instead Of Conventional Medicene For BC Treatment?
Hi Iris3! I also have an integrated physician and we talk once a month. She will recommend certain supplements, for my immune system for example, but I discuss it with my oncologist first to get her OK. I agree with virginiavalley, do your research, always get a second opinion. There's so much alternative meds and therapies that's not legit, and could easily harm you. I wish there was a magic pill or potion we could take, but there's not .😟 Maybe one day........
No, but my Primary Care Physician is an integrated health physician. Prior to starting chemo she ran some genetic testing, a complete nutrition panel, and blood work to check any other organ issues (liver, kidneys, etc.). She then looked for ways to support the immune system, etc., that would complement other therapies. She did support my decision to not take a particular drug, and the oncologist agreed, that current research suggested that it would be of minimal advantage for me. Do your research, and talk to your primary care physician, get a second opinion regarding therapies that concern you. Keeping you in prayers while you research, and navigate your way through these difficult decisions. Hugs!
