I just finished 5 years on Letrozole in October.
Initial side effects were hot flashes, mostly at night- but they lasted for only about 4-6 weeks,
Other side effects were joint achiness. I never specifically had pain, just aches, that I noticed mostly when sitting for a long time ( hard to get up out a seated position). Definitely noticed these aches were lessened with activity ( I took an hour’s walk at least 3 days a week) and by eating well ( load upon those veggies and good protein) .

Good luck for you. I could only withstand the side effects for 6 weeks and changed to Femura. My joints hurt so bad that I could not take the pain . Some people tolerate it much easier. I was on 4 different meds in 5 years.

I’ve been on anastrozole for just about 2 years. Was diagnosed with stage 1 and had radiation in 2018. Some hot flashes which have subsided, but I do have minor bone pain.. no other side effects so far.
