Have You Heard Of Any Unique Or Increased Precautions For Those Going Through Breast Cancer Treatment In This World Of Coronovirus?
Given some of our heightened awareness of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), has your oncologist or other provider made any suggestions or share precautions for your health?
PS Before this Coronavirus crisis began, I asked my oncologist whether I was considered to have a compromised immune system because I'd had breast cancer -- in terms of whether I needed pneumonia shots, etc. And she said no. I had surgery and am on an AI, but no radiation or chemo. So, I thought I'd share that for other women in a similar situation.
This suggestion isn't from a provider, but here is what the CDC advises in terms of the Coronavirus for people at higher risk. That must include women going through chemo since that weakens one's immune system. I don't know about radiation. Also, today the State Department advised against cruises, particularly for those w/ underlying health conditions.

My doctors are doubling my chemo. Instead of weekly I get double the dose every 3 weeks. Only 2 more to go 😊😊
I was told to cancel any out of town visitors for the time being. I start Chemo in next week or so...Oncologist were concerned about incubation period and don't want symptoms to pop up after chemo begins. Pretty much asked that I stay home other than appointments, my daughter can stay in private daycare since they are open/following strict health guidelines. My husband does very little outings to stores etc...
