Anyone had her2+ cancer stage 0 or 1? Not in lymphnodes or hasn't metastasized?
@A MyBCTeam Member talk to your dr but trust their judgement of what is best to help beat reoccurence. There are no guarantees that a year and 6 weeks vs. 6 months and 3 wks. Is the way to go. The plan they design for you is based on what they think is best. Certainly express your ideas. I do now with my dr I am sure he thinks I am hard headed but sometimes I need to understand why I am taking certain meds. I do my research. Her2+ is very aggressive so I felt I needed to be agressive too. Dr said that although Her2 is agressive there is a drug designed directly to treat it....... herceptin. Trust your dr do your research express concerns listen and trust in youself.
HER2+, ER/PR+ (strong). Stage 1, no lymph nodes . TCHP chemo (6 treatments), 11 nodes removed, 2 lumpectomies (margins not clear the first time), 30 radiation treatments, 11 HP treatments, oopherectomy last Wednesday, just started Neratnib pills (1 year) and arimidex (10 years). One thing I’m realizing is that no one’s cancer is the same, even with similiar pathologies.
Min it going to depend on you unfortunately. We all react so very differently. You can always as your Dr for something to help you through. I do Tramadol for pain, it's non narcotic and does help me
I have stage 1A invasive dcis and HEr2 positive.
Thank you so much @A MyBCTeam Member. Any type of cough or wheezing tell your dr. My dr thought it was a allergies and I didnt have an xray done for 2 wks. Quicker action may have prevented further lung damage. Bobbi is correct to act immediately.
