sister is just in the middle of her treatment so is about to finish radiation and was asking when will her mammogram be after the radiation and it is about 5 months. I am about to have mine in two weeks time. And it will be 5 months I just do not want to confuse her
We both know they will advise her anyway. LOL. I am 71 and they say mammogram every two years. I insist on having mine every year and I am glad I did because they caught mine early and treatment was minor and involved only a lumpectomy and 16 days of radiation. Take care

I seem to be just the opposite. I’m 5 yrs cancer free and the radiologist who screens my mri’s and mamos said no more mri’s and mamograms back to yearly.

@A MyBCTeam Member yes, I had the 3D mammogram. But my doctor wanted the MRI just to cover all the bases.

I finished my radiation 9/April/19 and I am scheduled for mammogram the end of September/19. 5 - 6 mos after radiation. You have to give it time to heal first
