I also had 2 small nodules on each of my lungs found on a CT scan before surgery. Followed up with a PET scan and my breast surgeon was not concerned it was mets. My medical oncologist also looked at scans after surgery and said although they are "tiny" nodules I need to follow up with more scans every 3 months to make sure they haven't grown or changed. I am supposed to make appt this month as its been 3 months since my last scan, however I am terrified. The worst part of the whole BC ordeal to me was the waiting for results. I dont know if I can go through that again but I know its unavoidable.

We should remember, I try to at least, that almost everyone has nodules on lungs and other organs, I also had one on my adrenal gland, and they almost always turnout to be "nothing". I also think I read anything under 5cm is almost always of no concern. But after one diagnosis I guess we all fear the worst.

Yes I have a nodule, about 1 cm, on my lung that was found on a chest xray, A ct scan followed and was thought to be benign. A few months later I had a pet scan as a follow up. It lit up like crazy and I thought for sure it was cancer. I then had a biopsy and it was benign. They still watch it several years later with annual ct scans. I also had thyroid nodules. Many people have these nodules and don't even know about it. It's scary for us cancer patients

I had a kidney stone last April and during the ct scan for that they found two nodules in my lung but failed to mention it to me only found out after my cancer diagnosis that they were there but hadn't changed we are now in the wait and see stage repeat scan in October best of luck to you
