I have some numbness in my breast following my 2 lumpectomies, mostly on the outer quadrant and into the armpit area. But now it seems other areas of my breast are numb. I am currently undergoing radiation, have 18 more treatments. I just don't remember this being a side effect and wondered if it had happened to anyone else?

I still have numbness and it's been 4 years since my lumpectomy.

I had my treatment 8 years ago with a lumpactomy and then total node clearance, I still have numbness in armpit, side of breast, down inside of arm to near elbow and side also.

Mine got hot a few times but no numbness except where my incision is. I had a rash after about my fourth treatment but I Just faith put Unscented Lubiderm on them. I had no trouble after that.My Radiation Oncologist said lots of cream. If you shower run it lightly on your breast and dry by patting dry, then cream. Four other people who had breast cancer I know said the same. I used unscented dove soap. Hope this helps.

I had a BMX with reconstruction and then 4 more surgeries. I also did 28 sessions of radiation. Thry zapped my lymph node area using a wet towel every other day. I am now completely numb all the way to my back. I am not sure if it is all the surgeries or radiation.

I had my lumpectomy over a year ago, and I still have the numbness, although it's more like there's no feeling in my upper arm area or the pit when I touch it. I've been told by the Dr that as long as the arm functions, it's normal. Even a yr later.
