I had a BMX almost 5 years ago and had no desire to reconstruct. I am flat 24/7 and LOVE it. Just bought myself a bikini for my hubby's and my trip to Florida this week though I may opt to not bother with the top.
I make absolutely no attempt to hide my flatness and had to laugh at a woman in the store yesterday. We were both looking at blouses and she tried one over her T-shirt but could'd button it...the complained that it wouldn't fit over those darn boobs and I told her I no longer had that problem but to be careful what she wished for...We had a good laugh.

Being that I did both sides and am completely flat - not many hints as I don’t use any prosthetics or try to cover it up -but there is a Facebook group with many woman on there that did a unilateral mastectomy. They are a great resource and support for those hints and tips you are looking for. Flat and fabulous is the name of the group. Hope that steers you in the right direction. 💖🧚🏼‍♀️

three days ago left mastectomy no reconstruction : )

i had bmx in 2014 and opted not to have reconstruction and am very thankful i chose that option. I do however wear prostheses and i continue to be happy with my decision. Good luck!

I too did not reconstruct. No regrets. I have done breast cancer reconstruction for 17 years. I have seen all sides of the process. It just is not for me. I’m happy the option is there for those that want and need recon. I just wish the option to not recon was presented equally. It makes me sad seeing the amount of women that had no idea they had a choice.
