Hello everybody! :) Anyone experiencing/experienced episodes of dizziness and blurred vision during chemo? I'm on AC/T (about to start 12 weekly x Taxol after 4 AC infusions) and a couple of weeks ago I started to feel vertigo and blurred vision at times when doing brief physical efforts, like going up the stairs, for example. @A MyBCTeam Member, everyone seems to react a little differently to chemo. Your body will tell you what it can and can't handle, and your medical team will always be on the lookout for side effects, always let them know what you are going through. I had some dizzy spells and vertigo but those were mostly related to the level of activity--I often pushed myself just a little too much.
Ginger candies help too.
@A MyBCTeam Member Everyone chemo experience is different. AC is a dose dense chemo. It is very strong so people may have more side effects. The chemo nurse will go over all the side effects with you before they start your infusion. Ask questions about any side effects and how to deal with them. I was not able to drive during chemo because of the dizziness. My ONC just told me to drink more water. I didn't do it at the time but sea sickness drugs or a motion sickness bracelet may help.

I would get lightheaded and dizzy occasionally while on chemo as well. It was just temporary though. Sending you good thoughts on your CT scan... I'm sure it will be fine but another concern you don't need right now! Hugs.
