Taxol and Neulasta shot

A MyBCTeam Member asked a question 💭

My second part of chemo starts in October. I will get Taxol every week for 12 weeks and Carboplatein every 3rd week. Will I still need to get the Neulasta shot?

I asked my Clinical Trial nurse and she said NO, since I will be getting weekly Taxol and Carboplatein every 3 weeks. So that is good news, now I just have 2 more Neulasta shots, Yeahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Not sure where you live, but I had my cleaning company comp me 4 months of house cleaning during my chemo treatments. It was Merrymaids, I told her this company offers it and she honored it for me. Just submit a letter from your doctor that you are on treatments. Last thing we need to do is be cleaning and adding more stress when we should be relaxing and healing.

I had the AC/Taxol dose dense protocol and had a neulasta shot the day after every chemo - but my taxol was not a weekly lower dose so maybe it will be different for you?
