Anyone who is on either Arimidex (anastrozole) or Tamoxifen - the side effects include joint pain. I've been on anastrozole for 2 1/2 years and have more pain in my joints then I can ever remember.

Had the same problem last spring. Tests showed arthritis in hip. Def causes groun pain, wouldn't have thought it would run that direction!

I'm on Anastrozole and I've been having some hip joint and knee pain lately also. To the point sometimes, I can't hardly walk. Seeing my oncologist next month and having a bone density prior to seeing her. You may want to get one too, so you know if it is arthritis or not.

I get hip or groin pain too, since Tamoxifen and my oncologist said two miles of walking and exercise will help. I find it hard to get up and down from the floor or bending and getting back up.

Are you taking Timoxifan? I have lots of muscle pain in places I have never had.
