Hi Betty. I was diagnosed in April 2014. I did chemo before my surgery. I had my bilateral done October 2014. Tissues expanders at the same time. I began my fills a week later. I had weekly fills until beginning of February. I started radiation in February . I had 5 1/2 weeks of daily treatments. May 2015 I had expanders out and implants in. In June 2015 I had nipple reconstruction and Lipo. Lipo was painful afterwards. I also had areola tattooing. I can not believe people willingly so that themselves. I had to tell myself with a rolling pin for several weeks over the Lipo areas. It was kinda funny.lol. As for complications..I suffered a broken rib from fills. Surgery went beautifully...no complications..healed well. Radiation went well. No complications. I used Calendula lotion many times a day. I had no blisters or peeling. Overall I had the usual side effects from the bi lateral. Muscle spasms. Burning sensation. Tingling and just the pain while healing. I did a lot of stretching and simple yoga moves to move my arms. I did experience some cording ( crystallization of lymph fluid). But overall I faired well. Where are you in your treatment?

@A MyBCTeam Member..Congratulations on 20 years. You are an amazing woman! I am guessing you are concerned about healing on the radiated side ? Very small incisions are made to do the fat transfer. Near the cleavage. The incision for your implants should not be too large . I honestly have to say my left (radiated) is slightly firmer than my right. You will have exercises to do to soften the implants. My doc did a beautiful job. I would send you a pic but somebody might get the wrong idea...lol...
You will do great!

Happy happy 20th Anniversary Betty! ๐Ÿ’

Leanne, thank you so much for your reply. How long ago did you have this done? Any complications?
