Any suggestions for preparing for a bilateralong mri?
Hi, there are no dates on these Q&A's...I had an MRI, my first one, they had to roll me in 3x. 1st time--immediately claustrophobic (let me out!). 2nd time--let me out, but I had identified what adjustment I needed. You are face down, you look through the table, but the towels they had put there to cushion were partially obstructing my view, which means I could not "see" anything. Once they got those towels moved aside, I was calm and got through the 45 min.You got this.
My breast MRI was my very first one. It was a piece of cake since my head wasn't stuck in that machine. I am claustphobic so now when I have one I have to get sedation. The poor tech had to talk me through each section, tell me how long it was going to be and remind me to brearh
I had one. No pain. You lay in your belly. Noisy from the machine. No pain. 45 minutes. Actually procedure was much less scary than I thought!
Easy process. Just be sure to drink lots of water over the next couple days to flush the contrast out of you.

@A MyBCTeam Member He's great, one of the most brilliant people I've met. I ran into difficulty with my first reaction to the chemo and then I got cellulitis during my 3rd.I'm highly allegic. Both times on weekends and he changed my med over the phone without any problems. I am so grateful to him for his quick responses and follow ups.
