Hi. I take Effexor for the hot flashes. It definitely helps but I've noticed since summer started, it's a little worse. I also can't bend my left thumb by myself anymore - I need to manually do it and it's very painful. But only my left thumb- so weird!! Muscle cramps are starting also. I've only been on it 5 months but I can handle all of these things considering the alternative. I'll let you know if SE's subside.

Has anybody stopped Tamoxifen due to side effects and taken supplements (DIM, Turmeric, Green Tea) to block estrogen?

I also just started tamoxifen Sunday and I am having some Side effects like hot flashes,joint pain,weepy and moody also someone mentioned to me that they take it at night and don't feel the side effects

I have been taking this medication since November 2015 and I take it after dinner so I can sleep through the hot flashes. I went back to work full time in March and am exhausted during the week so I'm usually in bed early evening. My joints ache from taking it but some days are worst than others. I have also had my menstral cycle every month while being on the medication which I was told is normal. My feet swell a little but it's quite hot here right now. I find it's easier to give in when I'm tired than to fight it. Yesterday was probably my worst day.....just didn't feel like myself and didn't want to be an adult.
