After the last PET scan I've found that my bone mets have progressed from my hip and lower back up my spine to my neck. My doctor wants radiation right away to the neck to prevent problems with my spine and any fracturing (that could lead to paralysis?) Has anyone had this radiation to the neck (and down I'm assuming after) and how effective was it and did it cause any other problems?
Oh Roseann I am so sorry to hear this! I have no experience with radiation yet so I can't answer your question but I sure will be praying for wisdom and guidance as you seek answers, and that an effective treatment can quickly be found! My instinct is that if your Dr wants to do it, it is probably worth trying but I have no clue really. :(
@A MyBCTeam Member That is good. My burn wasn't bad. It healed quickly.
I had a small burn on my hip.
So sorry to hear this !
