I have a question for all of you who had both breast removed. How did this change your sex? I am serious. I know I will mourn the loss of my hair, but that will be only temporary. I will miss my own (and according to my PS measurements completely symmetrical) boobs, but I will learn to live with my "new" ones
But the feelings they give me can't be replaced by the "artificial" ones. That's something I will really miss. That's the only sure way to get me all fired up :) My husband will miss… read more

I had left mastectomy with reconstruction and then right. My implants got infected so they removed them in 2014. Now I am flat. I do miss my breasts and I wish my reconstruction had different result, but I learned to live with what I have. My skin where the breasts were still likes to be touched and remember my husbands hands there. Yes, there are no nipples anymore, but it's still a nice feeling. If you love each other you will still enjoy your sex life. I would say sometimes even more from before the cancer, because of the victory of being alive and here and well enough to have sex.
My husband says he doesn't miss my breasts because they were trying to kill me and he wants me here with him.

I had both breast removed in May 2011 with breast reconstruction. I still miss the sensation from my nipples, but I have to remind myself that I am alive. Sex is still great. You and your partner will discover new ways to get you fired up. Don't worry!

My nipples became oversensitive after my children were born, so much I almost couldn't stand for them to be touched. I don't miss that part.

Good morning I have had my bilateral and have completely finished the healing process.
I too was very concerned with having no nipples and my love life.
My fiance and I have learned to work around the fact that there is the foobs with no nipples.
In reality to all the ladies you just saved your life! Dont forget that. Yes I had a pity party, I hung up my party hat I realized through thick and thin our love will survive.
I am a human being not perfect before or after my surgery. Now I know how brave I am to endure the diagnosis and proceedures.

P.S. I wear sexy pjs to bed to hold down the distraction until we figure our new friends (foobs)
Be well dont sweat the small stuff :)

Have a Happy New year!!!
Everyday is a gift.
