Anyone have carpal tunnel type symptoms on the side they had mastectomy and reconstruction on? I have been having pain and weakness in my right thumb, hand, wrist, arm, shoulder and neck. Makes it so hard to function at work and home!
I had a right breast lumpectomy and 2 lymph nodes removed and I have neuropathy and weakness in right arm,hand,etc. but I also have issues in the left hand.
I had 9 lymph nodes removed and bilateral mastectomy. I have been going to physical therapy for 5 months because I couldn't move my shoulder and numbness. It has helped so much!! Consider trying physical therapy

@A MyBCTeam Member I have same thing.. numbness and pain in arm, It has gotten better, so don't give up. It could be because they removed a lot of lymph nodes with the breast... mine is. My numbness starts at elbow on the inside and goes all the way up through my armpit and where the breast was. I had surgery Jan 30, 2015. It seems to have improved but still numb to some degree. Hoping those nerves will reconnect and settle down with time.
It is called nuerotheraphy. Look it up
