I have still have mine & I finished treatment in June of 2013. I had inflammatory BC, Her2 positive. I have high chance of recurrence so my onc id not in hurry to have it removed. The only down side is getting it flushed every 6 weeks. My port was put in almost 3.5 yrs ago & I have had no problems with it.

Mine is coming out tomorrow! Along with my seroma from sentinel node removal and my itty bitty (now after chemo) tumor!

yes ever sixweeks uou can go and have your port flused by the doctor i go to the hospital thay just fax the order

I still have mine.Finished chemo May 2015.My veins are iffy at best so just in case I wanted to keep it.

Had my last chemo in November last year. My onco wants to keep the port for a just in case retreatment. When I asked what the cons are he said risk of possible infection and clotting. Opted to keep it but have been diligently going for the every 6 weeks flushing to keep it clean and clot free. Take care.
