HI Everyone: I finished chemo March 11th. First three weeks I felt great but now I have joint pain in my thigh, knees and lower back stiffness. Seems to help when I move but after sitting for awhile, I feel like I got hit by a mack truck. Is this a normal side effect from the chemo? Thank you and have a wonderful day!!

I brought up the stiffness and range of motion issue that are new to me, as I mentioned here previously. I used to be able to put 10 - 16 hr days in my farm boots but now I start dragging after 5 hrs. He said I have arthritis. I said that suddenly& what a coincidence it happened after chemo & during radiation. (finished rad 6 days back) He tried to brush it off but when I told what I just shared w you, he did finally say if it keeps on o could try some meds for arthritis......and now I am supposed to begin tamoxifen and make it all the more "better" right? Ha ha. How many of you gals wouldn't take hormone receptor blockers knowing now what you didn't know b4. I haven't totally decided to or mot yet. Thanks for you insight in advance. Lor

I experienced a lot of bone pain during chemo. My doc put me on Claritan (believe it or not) and it worked!

I have the same pain. At times you just want to stay still and not move. I am taking tamoxifen also and will address these pains with the onc next month. I finished chemo in Dec and didn't have these pains.

Why can't doctors just tell us what to expect? Bone pain, anxiety, depression, hot flashes for some of us.
