I am on Tamoxifen and yes side effects are bad, hot flashes,menopause, and I can't get this weight off, I have never had weight issues sucks

I also am a quitter..I was on Tamoxifen for nearly 1 year..also was on an antidepressant and I never felt like ME. I got tired of the hot flashes and sweating..it was so embarrassing at work trying to explain to customers that I was on medication.

I am a quitter also!! I have been on 3 different ones and have side effects on all... my hands cramp so bad I can't even hold a pencil. So... I quit. Also, I have 2 friends that were on the hormones for over 5 years and both were just rediagnosed with breast cancer after having beat it 20 years ago.... My opinion now is... it's all BS. They just keep feeding us drugs and the cancer will come back anyway. I can't afford to fight anymore so I will just lay down and die when it comes back.

@A MyBCTeam Member I AM A QUITTER!! A quitter when it comes to Tamoxifen. Not even 4 months. I thought my onco was going to yell at me...but he understands my decision to chose quality of life. Aside from radiation, I have done it all to battle BC on this journey to wellness. So enough is enough. Do what is right for you and dont let other judge you. Its your body :)

I have been on Tamoxifen for 11 months. I have hotflashes but control them with Gabapentin. I get nauseous at times but take Prilosec & use Queasy Drops which really helps. At times my legs ache real bad but Ibuprofen helps.
