had liposuction after reconstruction, a few months later. My sides were very sore and had to wear tight bra to prevent swelling. Was able to return to my normal return in 10 days. Good luck! Had nipple tattooed too went very well.

At the time of my reconstruction my plastic surgeon did a little lipo on the side of my breasts, I was more sore afterwards than with either of my surgeries. I had tattooing done in November, did not feel anything. The tattooing came out really good.

The "dog ear" on my right side has decreased in size since my masectomy 4 months ago. This was my non cancerous breast. I still have an uncomfortable "dog ear" on my left side where 16 lymph nodes were removed. I developed lymphedema 4 months after the left breast masectomy. With therapy, wearing a sleeve and glove, and continued self-massage; I am doing well. I'm guessing I will need to talk with a plastic surgeon about the possibility of liposuction when lymph system is involved.

They removed them surgically- made a huge difference!! It was the plastic surgeon that did the original surgery!

I am wondering how the liposuction for the "dog ears" went? Or are you having them removed surgically? I discussed the liposuction with my surgeon today; he'll refer me to a plastic surgeon.
