Has anyone heard of or been prescribed the new drug called Ibrance ? It sounds better than Tamoxofien .
@A MyBCTeam Member - I have had friends on Ibrance who complained about thinning hair too.
My hair all fell out with chemo 11 years ago. With Ibrance I see a lot of hair in my comb and it seems to be thinning first at the hairline forehead and neck. I have stopped coloring my hair and got a new shorter cut that I actually like a lot.
@A MyBCTeam Member - have you taken the Ibrance a year? Have you had difficulties with it? I have not completed 1 cycle tried 2 cycles. The first was halted for 3weeks then resumed and halted after one week. I was having CBC every week to check its status since ANC fell so low. After it was up a bit doc lowered the dose. We moved to traditional 2 week CBC testing. ANC fell severly again. In addition to the low ANC I have been getting sores in my mouth and a sore throat with scratchy chest. I am currently waiting for my ANC to bounce back from .4 again with a terrible sore throat, mouth and scratch chest. I will be on a lower dose when it returns. I won't be finishing my second cycle either. Have you had any of the same effects if so how did you manage them?

RoseannDT , I am still on tamixofien , and will prob be for 3 1/2 more years . I think tamixofien also causes hair thinning 😟
