I had horrible joint pain on type of drugs. They started me on Amimidex after radiation the first time and after 6 months, I could barely walk. They switched me to Exemestane and the side effects came right back. They switched me to Tamoxifen and I was on it about six months and I had a recurrence and immediately changed me to Femura. I took it for almost a year until the side effects got too bad. I am back on Tamoxifen and praying to stay cancer free.

I have been on Femara since March 2017. After about 2 weeks I have severe breast bone and shoulder joint pain. I started on Vitamin B 6 and glucosamine. It help immensely. I also had the worse hot flashes I have ever had. I started on gabapentin. It helped with the hot flashes which in turned help with sleeping.

Thank you all for your comments. Looks like we all are going to have to learn how to manage the side affects. It is better than having the cancer come back.

I am having shoulder pain, back pain,etc. I am taking hydrocodone with minimal relief.

I am having joint/muscle pain, forgetfulness, no sex drive, trouble sleeping. I took Tamoxifen for 5 years and made it through that. Supposed to be on Letrozole for 5 years. I started taking letrozole Nov.2013, had the side effects mentioned above so I went off it for a couple months. Oncologist wanted me to get back on it plus the fact that a very good friend of mine who had been cancer free for 14 years, developed cancer again and is taking chemo right now. That scared me so I started taking the letrozole again in June 2014....
