What types of reconstruction, limitations afterward, can I work, are their any other options, I don't want to take narcotics what are the other options. How bad is the pain.
I would suggest to bring a friend with you who can take notes for you as well. When I met with my doctors, initially, it was all a bit of a blur. It can be an overwhelming amount of information. It's nice to have another set of ears.

@A MyBCTeam Member. I admire your attitude. That's why you have 9 years clean and will have many more. It takes determination to accomplish that. That same determination will get you through this, I don't have a doubt.
I'm very honest with my doctor. I'm proud of my recovery and will do what ever it takes to preserve it. I am also going to use herbs and acupuncture for my pain management. I've just never been through anything like this so it's scary
Go to the American Cancer Society and/or breastcancer.org and find their lists of questions. If you have some not on their lists, those too. Get a spiral notebook and write them all down. Appointments go fast and you will be stressed. If you write them down, you can remember them better. I write mine on the front side of the paper so I have the backside for notes on the answers if necessary. That way the questions and answers are together in the notebook.
