I am IDC stage IIa with a positive lymph node in the Breast and one positive sentinel node. I'm going thru chemo right now. Six months of treatment with chemo every three weeks. First four rounds were FAC, I start docetaxol on Tuesday for the next four rounds. My doctor still hasn't decided on radiation. She will take my case to a tumor board for other opinions. Single mastectomy and tissue expander at present (mastectomy on August 1st). Hang in there!!!!!!

@cakingo923 how old are you? Were you pre-menopausal? I am 43 with T1CN1. My sentinel node was positive, but the 14 additional nodes they removed during my double mastectomy were all negative. My oncologists are split between saying I need chemo as an insurance policy, but they're not sure if it will decrease any recurrence risks, and some oncologists are comfortable with me taking tamoxiphen for the next 5 - 10 years. My mammaprint came back low--risk and waiting for Oncotype dx result right now. I'm debating between chemo or no chemo, and I want to be sure I choose the right treatment. DId you meet with other oncologists?

Hi! That's me too! I had 1 postive node 14 removed. The oncotype test I think is similar to the mammoprint test? That was the determining factor on my treatment plan. I scored a 9. No chemo, but I had 37 radiation sessions and will take tamoxifen for 10 years. So far so good:)
