I was put completely under. My surgeon said I had been thru enough with the BMX. It was very easy, but I was a bit sore for a day or two afterwards. You will be so glad you got the port, trust me! Good luck to you.

They gave me valium and fenatynl. Did not feel a thing. Very sore afterwards. Make sure you have a driver to take you home.

Oh you are getting a port. Easy operation. I was put to sleep. don't love the looks of it but it makes chemo so much easier. I use a numbing cream an hour before and it works well!
