I have had implants for 4 years and I still have pressure over breast bone, remember they took all that tissue that was around there and under your arms. Some times I feel like a bag of bones!

With my expander, I have felt pressure on my left breast area where it had been. I had a partial mastectomy. I have had this extreme pressure for 6 years now.

Your tissues are expanding and this stretches that cartilage between your expanders too. I had similar pain. Eventually it went away. Stay away from Doctor Google and talk to your doctor. Then google costochondritis 😊

I had sudden stabbing pains in my chest throughout the expansion process especially after a fill. Stopped eventually after exchange. Mention it to your PS on the next visit unless it becomes worse.

I have the same pain and it seems to be increasing. My expanders are new but it has gotten worst when I got a staph infection/hematoma and had to go in for more surgery a week ago. Every day seems worse and I have no idea how anyone could live with this for months. I can barely concentrate. Nothing (pain pills, valium, advil, etc.) really helps. It feels like a super human strength is pushing on my sternum. I have other pain too but this one area is so much worse it supersedes the other pains.. I am even considering having the expanders removed. Does anyone have experience in the beginning like this that gets better with time? I only had the mastectomy 3 weeks ago, then another surgery 1 week ago. I just assumed there would be improvement daily, but instead it seems worse every day.
