The exchange surgery is a same day surgery. When I had my surgery I'm slow to waking up from the anesthesia so I normally spend the night.

I'll be thinking of you, I fo for my exchange on Friday and am having a lot of anxiety of how it's going to look once it's done...I have been lop sided for 14 months now...I am so ready for this final stage!!! My PS also said I will be in & out within the same day. Not too sure about that cause this time they are doing the exchange on the Lt. side and a lift and reduction on the Rt side also.

Mine on one side moved way up too. But it ended up turning out just fine. I went in just for the day. There were more stitches/surgical glue than I think I expected, but that's probably normal. When I first started reconstruction, my PS told me that it's going to be about a year long process, so I always tried to keep that in mind after each surgery. Now that I'm one step away from being done, I understand what he meant. Good luck to you!

My hospital stay was just one night. There will be lots of stitches again. I was able to go back to work in a week. Good luck and sorry to here the expander shifted. Hopefully your PS will have no problem with the exchange!

I had a tissue expander that came out of its pocket and we didn't know that it did. During my exchange surgery my plastic surgeon did what he needed to and I had both breast implants. After I woke up from the surgery I knew he had to do alot of work to that side because the right side hurt more than the left.
