I have a wig but it gets hot, and I have some hats and some of them are hot. Then I have a couple chemo cap but don't like them as well as the wig and hats. Been thinking about scarves. Would like some plain ones more of one color and small enough to fit on head without being to big. I'm going on a cruise when I finish Chemo. The cruise was scheduled before I found out I had breast cancer. Me and my husband was going to cancel but doctor said I should be fine. I'm getting excited about the trip… read more

Scarves with hats!! I looked on YouTube and watched many demonstrations on different ways to tie head scarves. I then bought every color fedora that I could find- black, brown, grey, and a straw one with interchangeable colorful hatbands. I would first wrap my head in the scarf and then top it off with the fedora. Countless compliments!!!!!! And don't forget some big hoop earrings to really top it off!
I actually had fun with it........

I did not like my wig either, I got me a lot of head covers with elastic in the back, had them in all different colors, easy to put on, and loved them.

I have only been wearing scarves since I lost my hair. AC Moore, a craft store, had a great sale on them twice already. They were 2/$5.00 My daughters & husband tell me I have a new obsession....LOL. I have 4 hangers full of every color & different designs, so I can color coordinate!!
I do have a wig, but need to find someone to trim & shape the hair, but have found myself in no hurry to do this because I love my scarves. I just wrap around my head & secure them with a ponytail holder on the side or in the back. The longer ones, I tie in a bow after I secure them. Very simple, yet everyone tells me that they look great & I feel great in them!! And with our weather changing, they are not hot & sweaty!!!
Enjoy your cruise,,,,I am sure you can find some elegant scarves to match all those cruising outfits!!! :-)

Scarves are fun and easy. There are tons of "how to tie a headscarf" videos on u tube. When you see the variety of techniques and the variety of reasons people wear them, it becomes an adventure. You want fairly thin material that is not slick feeling. I had so much fun and found so many beautiful fabrics!
