My boss took me off for 4 weeks. Could have been back at 2. Had chemo first, which was quite difficult, then bi lateral mastectomy, worked during chemo so after surgery returning wasn't bad. Good luck

After my bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction surgery I was totally drained. I was approved for FMLA and took off 4 months.

Today is my first day back - I was off six weeks and had to fight family and friends. They think I need more. I am ready for normal!

4 weeks would be good depending on how you recover physically and mentally. I went back to my office job at 3 weeks after a bmx and immediate recon. You'll be surprised with how quickly you recover :) Good Luck!
