Be careful! I had tons of skin issues/infections while undergoing expansion. I had a bout of cellulitis three weeks after my bmx which landed me in the hospital. My skin would get shiny/red. I took multiple antibiotics for a few months. I had one spot where it appeared to be a quarter size blister. My skin had stretched too thin. Just be aware of your body and make sure your doc listens to your concerns. I used to email pics to my doc so she could see the issue without me going to her all the time.

when I saw the doctor last week he said I was doing well and 60 percent of women in my situation would not have been doing so well and come so far. My left breast is shiny a little but it doesn't hurt and it looks ok. Next Wednesday is my last expansion. I am keeping a positive outlook and hoping I will not have to see the ps until June for the exchange surgery. This whole thing has been a scary process. I am going to keep praying!

I had redness and it was warm to the touch and was a staph infection. Call don't wait the two days. Hoping it is nothing. HUGS!

thank you...I had a lumpectomy and now a mastectomy in that same breast so their is limited tissue. I was worried. I wont obsess about the redness. I see the doctor in 2 days anyway

My breast was red most of the time and had a small temp though never had any type of infection. They kept a close eye on it and once the expander was replaced with an implant it has faded from the red.
