I've been on it 6 years - am 46 now - never had any side-effects at all.

I had no side effects whatsoever until about 5 months in. I started to get hotflashes mid-cycle and then the week before getting my period. My oncologist put me on 10mg of celexa, and that has taken care of the hot flashes completely. My suggestion to you is to have good communication with your onc, he/she will likely be able to find a solution to any side effects you are experiencing.

At first I had mild hot flashes, then my feet and ankles would tighten up if I laid down for a long time. I take magnesium and potassium for muscle cramps. Now I hardly have any side effects.

I started taking tamoxifen at night. I didnt sleep well and had one weird hot flash like there was a fire on my chest but no sweating. Then i was fine. Started taking it in the am instead. Then the first day of my period 1 1/2 months in was super heavy like i have never had before. Onco freaked out, stopped tamox went to obgyn. Did an ultrasound, my lining looked a little thick so repeated utz in three weeks. Said it was ok. I had my implant in/ expander out surgery dec 23 and am now back on tamox. We'll see how this round goes. Makes sense that it messes with periods but dont want to go from br cancer problems to gyn problems. Supposed to take it for ten yrs. arghh

I haven't had any reaction yet except eczema flare up....and missed period. I started Nov 16. I heard it can take a while to feel hot flashes.
